Anna Thach completed her PhD in the Department in 2018, has been teaching at the Berlin Brandenburg International School since 2017 and is currently the Head of the school’s German Department. In this workshop, Anna will illustrate how to design courses based on the concepts and ideas that students should have mastered by the end of it. By starting with learning outcomes, courses can be scaffolded in an organic, goal-oriented way that not only allows students to acquire skills but to conceptualize knowledge within a bigger picture.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about the transition from PhD study to secondary and international school teaching.
