The deadline to submit for Zeitgeist has now been extended to January 15th, 2015.
The guidelines for this year are as follows:
Please submit your essay, poem, short story, art submission, etc. by January 15, 2015.
- Essays: 5000 words max
Short-stories: 5000 words max
Poems: 3 pages max
Art submissions: 5 pieces max
This year, we would like to stress Literature in our journal.
We are STRONGLY ENCOURAGING submissions of creative writing (in German or Yiddish), including but not limited to: poetry, short-fiction, and whatever else may fit into a journal of this kind.
We also want to feature creative works written in other Germanic languages, including Yiddish.
Furthermore, a large portion of our journal will also continue to feature essays written in History, Philosophy, Comparative Literature, Cultural Studies, etc., as long as they pertain to German Studies as a whole.
If you are an artist and have produced work in Germany or in German cultural context, such as taken photographs in Germany, we would also like for you to submit them!
