Choose to intern with one of our eight inspiring partner organizations in Freiburg and other cities in Germany during the summer of 2025:

  • Agrikultur e.V.: Dive into the world of urban gardening and sustainable food systems.
  • aiforia: Work on innovative sustainability projects that tackle pressing environmental challenges.
  • Bike Bridge: Promote mobility, social inclusion, and empowerment through creative cycling programs.
  • Fairburg e.V.: Help refugees and migrants integrate into the local community through impactful projects.
  • Foodsharing Café: Advocate for a zero-waste culture while supporting food-sharing initiatives.
  • Freiburger Tafel e.V.: Fight food waste and support vulnerable populations by redistributing surplus food.
  • Haus des Engagements: Support nonprofit organizations and learn about the workings of civil society.
  • zusammen leben e.V.: Foster intercultural understanding and create inclusive spaces for diverse communities.

  • A brief statement of interest (tell us about your interests, skills, extra-curriculars, and preferred organization(s)). Please note, our partners may vary and we cannot guarantee placements with specific organizations.
  • Your CV.
  • A copy of your university transcript (unofficial is fine).
  • Contact info for at least one U of T instructor supporting your application.
  • Your level of German proficiency.
