Feature on iPRAKTIKUM Yiddish in the City internships

Tracing Odel Jaji’s interests all the way to an internship with us is based on her Assyrian background and the similarities between Hebrew and Aramaic. Odel majors in Human Biology with a minor in Chemistry and a minor in Jewish studies. She’s not technically in our department at all.

We offer experiential learning initiatives through iPRAKTIKUM, which gives students a chance to apply for internships in a Germanic and Yiddish context. Odel applied to an iPRAKTIKUM Yiddish in the City Virtual Internship where students had the chance to work with children at Toronto’s Montessori Jewish Day School. You can see Odel’s full video here.
