How to apply to the graduate program
2012-2013

Applications to the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures must be submitted through the School of Graduate Studies online application website.

Applications for 2012-13 will be accepted as of October 3, 2011.

The department will consider your application only after you have entered your personal and academic information on the online application, submitted the application fee and a complete package of your supporting documentation has been received.

The deadline for online application and payment of application fee is January 17, 2012. The deadline for receipt of documents is January 31, 2012.

Please note that recommendations of your referees may now be submitted electronically.

You may pay the admission fee online by VISA or MasterCard. If you are unable to pay by credit card you may print an invoice from the application and mail it with a certified cheque to the School of Graduate Studies. You should meet the admissions criteria set forth in the School of Graduate Studies Calendar and the departmental Graduate Handbook.

Additional information may also be obtained from the 2012-2013 School of Graduate Studies Admissions Guide, which will be available on the web as of October 2010. Please ensure that your application contains all relevant documentations, otherwise your file cannot be forwarded to the Admissions Committee.

Academic Advising

Instructors have specified weekly office hours during the academic year for individual counselling. Students with specific questions about the program and courses should contact the departmental office or the Graduate Coordinator, Markus Stock.
