Virtual Internships Launch futurGenerator Hub in Berlin

Although pandemic-related travel restrictions foiled plans to send the first group of futurGenerator interns to our new Berlin hub, the iPRAKTIKUM team was able to secure virtual placements for three students at MotionLab, an edgy startup that began with the simple idea to build a bicycle. What emerged was Europe’s first prototyping space for hardware in mobility. Today MotionLab is an innovation hotspot and home to over 50 start-ups.

But MotionLab is not just about providing state-of-the-art infrastructure to mobility entrepreneurs – it’s about community, communication, and democratic access to innovation. Working on different projects under MotionLab co-founder, Christoph Nye, undergraduates Stuart Jones, Hania Eid, and Yuchi Wu completed their internships with the start of the fall term.

A&S News spoke with Stuart and Hania about their experiences. Check out their story here and in the UofT News aricle about them.
