Thank you to Alumni Ambassador and Executive in Residence Joan Andersen

The Department would like to give special thanks to Joan Andersen for her outstanding volunteer service to the Department as Alumni Ambassador and Executive in Residence (2013-2019). An alumna of the Department and an Arbor Award winner, the highest volunteer honour at the University of Toronto, she has been an outstanding leader in volunteer work for the Department. Our students welcomed and appreciated the “Career Lunch and Learns” she organized, and the “Where are They Now?” series on our website has been an enormous success both in connecting to our alumni and in showing our students paths forward beyond graduation. Indeed, the alumni testimonials served as an inspiration for many. The Department would like to thank Joan so much for giving back to the Department, the Faculty, and the University in such manifold and wonderful ways.
