Please join us a for a public screening of  the music documentary Love, Deutschmarks and Death (2022) with Berlin-based director Cem Kaya in attendance for a audience discussion moderated by Müge Turan (Cinema Studies Institute).

A captivating documentary that attunes audiences to the independent and lesser-known music of Turkish emigrés and those with ties to the Turkish diaspora in Germany. Drawning from archival footage and interviews, filmmaker Cem Kaya proffers playful and ingenious insights into this lively subculture.
