The Department of Germanic Languages & Literatures invites you to participate in the Backpack to Briefcase (b2B) mentorship program and register for a Staying Connected: b2B Career Centre Workshop or any of our upcoming Alumni Career Panel Discussions.

You can choose any one of the available dates for the Staying Connected workshop:

Monday January 12, 4:00pm-6:00pm, Sidney Smith Hall – Rm SS 1085
Wednesday January 14, 4:00pm-6:00pm, Sidney Smith Hall – Rm SS 1087
Friday January 16, 3:00pm-5:00pm, Sidney Smith Hall – Rm SS 1085
Monday January 19, 11:00am-1:00pm, Sidney Smith Hall – Rm SS 1087

STAYING CONNECTED WORKSHOP

Learn how to stay connected to the alumni you’ll meet at b2B events and through the b2B LinkedIn group. Hear how to reach out and grow your network. Prepare and practice for informational interviews. Learn specific techniques for expanding your understanding of where you’re degree could take you in the future.

ALUMNI CAREER PANEL DISCUSSIONS

Meet alumni from your department who have gone on to pursue successful careers. Hear from lawyers, geophysicists, policy analysts, investment strategists, publishers, entrepreneurs and leaders of change in government and social justice about their paths to success.
