Congratulations to Marlo Burks on her post-doctoral fellowship in Berlin

Marlo Burks (PhD 2016) will be a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Berlin Program for Advanced German and European Studies at the Free University of Berlin, starting October 2017, for one year. Her project, entitled “The Urgency of the Past: Hofmannsthal’s Aesthetic Challenges Today,” explores Hofmannsthal’s dialogical aesthetics from the viewpoints of production and reception. In particular, the project explores his artistic collaboration with Richard Strauss, as well as the public reception of Hofmannsthal’s work today.
