This one-day seminar sponsored by the DAAD is intended to promote the professional development of graduate student and early-career German language instructors through hands-on workshops on the practice and theory of second language pedagogy by expert practitioners and researchers in the field. The theme of this year’s seminar is “Reflective Teaching.” Workshop topics will include teaching with fairy tales in German language classes, theories and practices of translation, and strategies for improving student engagement in the language classroom.
