Wagner, Nietzsche und die “konservative Revolution”

Professor Dr. Jochen Hörisch teaches German Literature and Media Studies at the Universität Mannheim. He has held visiting positions at institutions such as the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, the University of Virginia, Princeton University, and Indiana University.

Among his many publications are: Gott, Geld und Glück (1983); Die Wut des Verstehens – Zur Kritik der Hermeneutik (1988); Die andere Goethezeit (1992); Brot und Wein – Die Poesie des Abendmahls (1992); Kopf oder Zahl – Die Poesie des Geldes (1996); Das Ende der Vorstellung – Die Poesie der Medien (1999); Der Sinn und die Sinne – Eine Geschichte der Medien (2001); Es gibt (k)ein richtiges Leben im falschen (2003); Gott, Geld, Medien (2004); Das Wissen der Literatur (2007). In 2000, Professor Hörisch received the “Wissenschaftspreis“ (Science Award) of the Aby-Warburg-Stiftung.
