Thomas Wortmann is Juniorprofessor for German Literature and Media Aesthetics at the German Department of the University of Mannheim. He studied in Bonn, St. Louis and Cologne and worked as a lecturer at the universities of Cologne and Tübingen. His research focuses on German Literature from the 19th century to the present, contemporary drama and theatre, gender and popular film. Among his publications are: Literatur als Prozess. Drostes „Geistliches Jahr“ als Schreibzyklus (2014), Redigierte Tradition. Literarhistorische Positionierungen Annette von Droste-Hülshoffs (Ed. 2010); Männersachen. Verhandlungen von Männlichkeit in den Texten von Heinrich und Thomas Mann (Ed. 2014).
