Academic Advising
Instructors have weekly office hours during the academic year for individual counseling. Students in German degree programs and students with specific questions about the program and courses should contact the relevant faculty or staff, or the Undergraduate Coordinator, Erol Boran.
General Information
The German Department does not permit auditing of courses.
A *Placement Test* is required for (a) any new student with *any* pre-knowledge of German, (b) students returning from study abroad terms. The test determines the appropriate language course level for you. Self-placement is not permitted. Find below the summer test dates. Please contact the undergraduate secretary, Gayle Grisdale (gayle.grisdale@utoronto.ca / 416-926-2324) to schedule an appointment as early as possible.
Placement Test Dates for Summer 2011:
Thursday, June 16 at 11 a.m.
Wednesday. June 29 at 3 p.m.
Tuesday, July 12th at 10 a.m.
Monday, July 25th, at 4 p.m.
Tuesday, August 9th, at 12 noon
